This laboratory groups together researchers in Social Sciences (Law, Economics, Management, History, Geography¿) around the notions of ¿governance¿ and ¿island development¿ in Polynesia and the Pacific region.
This team prioritizes research themes relating to Polynesia and the Pacific, notably those contributing to economic, social and cultural development.
The laboratory comprises two main areas: ¿Governance, norms and institutions¿ and ¿Development strategies for island economies¿. For its research the GDI links with different laboratories in Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and Fiji.
