Descriptif :
L'Institut Pascal (IP) est unité mixte de recherche (UMR 6602) de l'Université Clermont Auvergne et du CNRS. Il est membre de Clermont Auvergne INP. L'IP couvre les disciplines des Sciences de l'Ingénierie du site clermontois. A ce titre, il est pluridisciplinaire du Génie des Procédés, de la Mécanique, Robotique, Physique des Sciences de l'Information, et de l'Ingénierie de la Santé. Chacune de ces disciplines est développée au niveau international. Ce socle fort disciplinaire est le terreau de projets interdisciplinaires, pour lesquels l'IP travaille depuis le développement des connaissances jusqu'à leur intégration dans des systèmes. Trois secteurs d'activité sont adressés : la mobilité et les transports des biens et des personnes, l'usine et l'industrie 4.0, et l'hôpital du futur, en partenariats académiques et industriels, et contractualisés des grands opérateurs de recherche (PIA ; ANR ; Union Européenne ; Région AURA etc.).
